Currently, Peru has become the largest exporter of blueberries in the world, this is outstanding if we consider that less than a decade ago it was an unknown fruit for the vast majority of Peruvians, the excellent climatic conditions of the country and the high technical capacity of agronomists managed to go from producing 560 tons in 2012 to more than 219,000 tons in 2021, however, in many parts of Peru and the world, the development of this crop is limited because the soil does not have the appropriate chemical characteristics. In response to this problem, the solution of hydroponics arises, planting in containers with substrate, which allows the use of high densities, greater efficiency in fertigation and obtaining the maximum possible yield from the first year of planting. The massive expansion in the last decade of blueberry brought with it the spread of pests and diseases and in turn the frequent use of pesticides that generate residues in the fruit and the decrease in prices, due to this organic production is an alternative for the improvement of the price however it is complicated by the few tools and products available in the market.
