This research was carried out in a band sawmill located in the city of Oxapampa-Pasco, the objective was to determine the sawing yield and the quality of the sawn pieces obtained, based on the INTEC C99: 2014 standard. The logs from the final harvest of an 18-year-old unmanaged plantation of Pinus tecunumanii species from Chontabamba. For this, 90 pine logs were evaluated, these were obtained through a pre-sampling of 30 logs based on the methodology proposed by INRENA-UNALM (2008) that determines the sample size through the variation of the volume of these. The logs were sawn with a band saw mostly in one-inch-thick pieces, obtaining an average conversion factor of 0.509 with a coefficient of variability of 11.5% and a standard deviation of 0.059. It was determined that the average diameter of logs was 26.92cm and the lengths are mainly distributed between 2.44m (8 ') and 3.05m (10'). Sawmill cutting decisions greatly influenced yield and yield variation and it was also found that sawing yield increases significantly with log diameter and grades. Three qualities of the sawn wood obtained were determined, with a yield of 13.7% for quality one, 29.4% for quality two, 7.8% for quality three of the average yield obtained (50.9%). A yield table was elaborated based on the average diameter and conversion factor through a simple linear regression equation, since this significantly determined the degree of association between the variables studied and it was the one that best estimate of obtaining the sawn volume.
