The calcium fertilization study took place at the INIA ILLPA experimental station (Puno - Peru) (15° 41' 15'' South, 70° 04' 33'' West at a height of 3825 m.s.n.m) had as main objective to know the level optimum fertilizer with a commercial formulation of calcium in the potato crop "Yana imilla" under conditions of the highlands of Puno between the months of November 2018 to April 2019. A Completely Random Block Design was used with seven treatments and four repetitions. The data were submitted to the assumptions of normality and homoscedasticity (Shapiro Wilk and Levene, respectively), in addition, Duncan's analysis of variance and comparison of means were determined with a significance level of 95% (α ≤ 0.05), with the package statistical “Agricolae” of the free software “R”. Statistical differences were found in plant height, leaf dry matter, stem dry matter and tubers dry matter, as well as in leaf nitrogen concentration. Although no statistical difference was found in the number of tubers per plant or in the total and commercial yield, it does manage to increase these parameters in different degrees, finding that in a range of 300 (T3) to 400 (T4) kg.ha-1 of calcium added to the soil, a slight increase in yield and better responses of other parameters are obtained.
