The present investigation was carried out during the 2020-2021 period with tubers of 305 morphotypes of native potatoes 2019-2020 campaign and cultivated in the Rayancancha Peasant Community from a Regional Germplasm Bank (BGR) of Huánuco. The aim of this study is to contribute to the knowledge of the dry matter chemical composition in native potato tubers. The dry matter and 11 minerals content as well as their relationship with the phenotypic characteristics of the tubers grown in Rayancancha were determined. The data obtained were evaluated using univariate, bivariate and predictive analysis. The results show that dry matter content in tubers registered a range of 14.78 to 33.50 %. The range of Mg (0.04-0.80 %), B (4.67-107.15 ppm), Cu (0.01-51.22 ppm) and Zn (0.05-77.28 ppm) concentration was higher than those reported in other studies. Tubers with yellow flesh and skin would have a greater possibility of registering the highest dry matter values. Phenotypic characteristics were not important in predicting mineral elements. Cu, Na and K content were important to estimate DM values. Based on the present study, it can be concluded that investigated tuber morphotypes have similar dry matter as other locations in Perú, some have excellent and acceptable quality which might be highlighted its culinary value. Furthermore, a wide variation in the microelements and Mg were registered which demanded opportunities of studies. The prediction model indicates that phenotypic characters are important to predict the dry matter content, but not to predict mineral elements. Do not exist an important relation between mineral elements and DM.
