Soils from the center of the country are characterized by problems of pollution with heavy metals, which is reducing its toxic effects through the use of compost and vermicompost of Stevia; was this experimental work under laboratory conditions of fertility - UNA La Molina in order to observe the efficiency of organic amendments, using corn and sunflower plants phytoremediators, two soils were used the locations: Mantaro and Muqui in the Valley of the Mantaro - Junín, whose contents in the soil of lead and cadmium exceed the ECA of soils of the Peru. The results indicate that soils with higher contents of Pb and Cd (present in Muqui) have negative effects as: a lower yield of matter dry leaves, stems and roots of maize and sunflower plants also slower development. Organic amendments contribute to the solubilization of Pb and Cd for better absorption by the plants; the corn plant accumulates average lead in roots (80%), leaves (15%) and stems (5%), for cadmium have accumulated an average in the roots (91%) leaves (6%) and stems (3%). The sunflower plant accumulate lead in roots (55%), leaves (42%), flowers (5%) and stems (3%), in the case of cadmium accumulated in roots average (40%), leaves (32%), stems (20%) and flowers (8%), crops drawn more Pb when the soil has more content (Muqui); corn and Sunflower extract greater Cd when the soil has less content (Mantaro); We found the vermicompost of Stevia was the most effective for the absorption of nutrients, not affecting the plants high concentrations of Pb and Cd in soil; calculations of BCF and TF, indicate that maize and sunflower are plants exclusionary or stabilizers.
