In the present study, the effects of different dietary lipid levels on the growth and survival of juvenile baunco Girella laevifrons were evaluated. Three isoprotein diets (37% crude protein) with three lipid levels (5%, 10%, and 15%) were formulated. The test was carried out in triplicate for 60 days and 81 juveniles of G. laevifrons of 21.98 ± 1.83 g and 10.78 ± 0.37 cm were used. Biometric controls were carried out every fifteen days and productive parameters, and survival was determined. At the end of the experiment, the results indicated that fish fed different levels of lipids did not show significant differences (p>0.05) were found in the productive parameters (length gain (GL), weight gain (GP), specific growth rate in weight (TCEW), specific growth rate in length (SGR), condition factor (K), feed efficiency ratio (EA), and feed conversion factor (FCR). Likewise, the results indicated that the levels of lipids in the diet did not affect survival in all treatments, and 100% survival was obtained in all of them. It is concluded that diets with different lipid levels had no effect on production parameters and survival in juvenile baunco.
