Applying the Contingent Valuation method, the Sandoval Lake of the Tambopata National Reserve (RNT), located in Tambopata, province of Tambopata, department of Madre de Dios, was economically valued as a tourist attraction, being this for public use and administered by the National Service Natural Protected Areas (SERNANP), an organization attached to the Ministry of the Environment (MINAM), which attracts more than 80% of all visitors to said region. The objective of the research is to determine the willingness to pay (DAP) of visitors to Lake Sandoval through the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM). Applying a survey simultaneously at the entry control post to Lake Sandoval to 385 people who visited the place, the maximum willingness to pay for access to said natural tourist attraction that SERNANP provides was investigated. The main socioeconomic factors that determine a greater willingness to pay (DAP) by visitors to the tourist attraction of Lake Sandoval were: Acceptance to pay, Degree of Instruction, Amount of Payment per ticket, Type of travel agency, Type of medium of Transportation, Days of permanence in the area, Know that you are in the Tambopata Reserve and Type of Accommodation. The economic amount of the availability to pay (DAP) of visitors, derived from the experience obtained within the tourist attraction was obtained from a generalized linear model (GLM). Based on these statistical analyzes, the hypothesis of the study is accepted that "there is a greater willingness to pay (DAP) by visitors to the Lake." Thus determining an average DAP of $ 7 additional dollars, which added to the current cost increases to the value of $ 17 for each person. The economic valuation of Lake Sandoval in the Tambopata National Reserve, through the contingent valuation method, at the sum of S/. S/. 3 058 300,00 soles presented $. 873 800,00 dollars taking into account 51 400 visitors. These eventual economic incomes generate the need to improve the institutional framework and adequate management of the natural resources of the Tambopata Reserve.
