Objective: determine the risk factors and emergency management in domestic accidents in children under 5 years of age in a village in the district of Santiago in Ica-Perú, 2024. Materials and methods: the research is based on a descriptive study, with a quantitative approach, with a population made up of 50 caregivers, ensuring the inclusion in the research of residents with different educational levels and socioeconomic status. Data collection will be carried out through surveys for each variable. An analysis will be carried out using the Epi Info 7.2 statistical program. Measures of central tendency and dispersion will be calculated for quantitative variables. In addition, the statistical test of Fisher’s exact test will be taken into account. Results: the identification of predominant risk factors in domestic accidents would be anticipated along with the characterization of common types of accidents and an evaluation of local emergency management. Conclusions: the study is expected to generate specific recommendations for prevention, highlighting the need for educational interventions and improvements in local policies, underscoring the crucial role of nursing staff in managing pediatric emergencies and promoting child safety.
