Objective: to conduct an ethnopharmacological study of the medicinal plants most commonly used for the treatment of gastritis in the District of Pachiza, Mariscal Cáceres, San Martin, november 2023. Method: a quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive, descriptive, prospective and cross-sectional study with a population of 219 participants where a survey and questionnaire were applied. Results: 25.6% used plantain, 17.8% used sangre de grado, 13.2% used copaiba and matico, 1238% used horsetail, 9.1% used aloe vera and 8.2% used yucca; the part of the plant used corresponded to 25.6% used the sap, 22.4% used the leaves, 14.6% used the bark, 12.8% used the stem and 8.2% used the root, balsam and resin. In the mode of preparation 31.1% use in drops, 26% use boiled, 25.6% use in the form of digging, 9.1% in the form of extract and 8.2% in the form of crushed. Conclusions: the most used medicinal plant was plantain and sangre de grado, where the mode of use was the sap and leaves, used in drops and boiled.
