Introduction: the healthy eating practices of mothers of preschoolers provide nutritional fortification from the first years of life; however, unhealthy eating practices negatively affect their state of health, increase their susceptibility to infections, and contribute to the development of nutritional changes that range from malnutrition and lack of micronutrients to the development of overweight and obesity, which may persist. until adulthood. Objective: to determine the eating practices of the mothers of preschoolers with overweight and obesity from the Educational Institution No. 100 Santa Elizabeth de San Juan de Lurigancho, 2023. Methodology: the study was quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional design; The study population and sample consisted of 90 mothers of preschoolers; The technique was the survey and as an instrument a Likert Scale-type question form. Results: 45.6% of preschool mothers are between 20 and 25 years old, 75.6% have secondary education, 63.3% are cohabitants, and 57.8% have 1 child; likewise, the eating practices 53.4% are regular, 24.4% good and 22.2% bad; according to healthy eating practices dimensions, 47.8% is regular, 30% good and 22.2% bad; and unhealthy eating practices 51.1% is regular, 26.7% good and 22.2% bad. Conclusions: The eating practices of mothers of overweight and obese preschoolers from the I.E. N° 100 Santa Elizabeth de SJL, is regular, both healthy and unhealthy eating practices.
