Objective: determine the relationship between lifestyles and the risk of type II diabetes mellitus in patients treated at the CMI Cesar López Silva, Villa el Salvador-2024. Materials and methods: the approach was quantitative, non- experimental, cross-sectional and correlational design. A finite population was approached, made up of 61 patients treated by CMI Cesar López Silva, during the months of January and February 2024. The sample will be census-based. The instruments were the PEPS-I questionnaire to evaluate lifestyles and the Findrisk test to evaluate the risk of diabetes. Results: the majority of participants have an unhealthy lifestyle 75.41% (N=46), while only a minority has a healthy lifestyle 24.59% (N=15). The risk of type II diabetes mellitus in participants. The majority of participants have a high risk of developing diabetes 36.07% (N=22), followed by those with a moderate risk 27.87% (N=17). 21.31% (N=13) of the participants have a slightly high risk, while 11.48% (N=7) have a low risk. Only 3.28% (N=2) of the participants are in the very high risk category. The Pearson chi-square value indicates a bilateral asymptotic significance of p=0.002, which shows a statistically significant relationship. Conclusions: there is a significant relationship between lifestyles and the risk of type II diabetes mellitus in patients treated at the CMI Cesar López Silva, Villa el Salvador-2024.
