Objective: to determine the relationship between knowledge and adherence to the vaccination schedule in mothers of children under 5 years of age from the Nicolás de Piérola health center, Lurigancho Chosica - 2024. Materials and methods: the approach was quantitative, the design was non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational. The population consisted of mothers of children under 5 years of age from the Nicolás de Piérola health center, Lurigancho Chosica - 2024, being 84 in total, the sample was made up of 70 mothers. The sampling was probabilistic. The instruments were validated questionnaires. Results: the majority of the participants are in the range of 32 to 38 years old, with 47.1% (N = 33). The level of knowledge about the vaccination schedule in mothers of children under 5 years of age, showing that 47.1% (N=33) have a high knowledge, followed by 40.0% (N=28) with medium knowledge, and finally 12.9% (N=9) with low knowledge. Adherence to compliance with the vaccination schedule, showing that 84.3% (N=59) are adherent to the vaccination schedule, while 15.7% (N=11) are not adherent. The asymptotic (bilateral) significance values for Pearson's Chi-square, likelihood ratio, and linear by linear association are all equal to 0.000; which are less than the margin of error of 0.05 (p=0.05). Conclusions: there is a statistically significant relationship between the level of knowledge and adherence to the vaccination schedule in mothers of children under 5 years of age at the Nicolás de Piérola health center, Lurigancho Chosica - 2024.
