This research work has as its main objective the addition of crushed clay brick in certain percentages to the reinforced earth units based on their weight, this is in order to be able to evaluate the behavior of their physical-mechanical properties and verify how beneficial it is to use this type of addition. The development of this research work took place in the young town of Culpón, which is located on the outskirts of the JLO district. To begin the work, the corresponding tests had to be carried out: in situ tests to verify the material, laboratory tests to verify that the soil is suitable for the manufacture of reinforced earth units. After that, the clay bricks obtained from the RCD were obtained to proceed to crush them with the help of the abrasion machine. For this research work, physical and mechanical tests had to be carried out both for the standard sample and for those to which the crushed bricks will be added at 5%, 10% and 15% in order to compare their properties, all taking into account the standard E.080 for mechanics and NTP 339.604 and NTP 339.631 for physics. Once the tests are done, the results obtained are evaluated and it can be concluded that there is an improvement at 10% addition both for the mechanical properties and to a certain extent in the physical properties.
