Critical review: Nursing Care to Prevent Complications in the User with Peripheral Venous Catheterization. Its objective is to: Recognize and specify standardized nursing care regarding peripheral venous catheterization to prevent complications in emergency service patients. Peripheral intravenous catheterization is an invasive method used worldwide that provides direct access to the bloodstream, causing pain and discomfort, and is not exempt from complications due to poor practice, so it is important to obtain information about this technique, so that we can evade adverse events and improve user protection. The evidence-based nursing (EBE) methodology was used, the research question was formulated: What Nursing Care Should Be Provided to Users with Peripheral Venous Catheter, to Prevent Complications and Increase Patient Satisfaction? Patient? A detailed search was carried out without language restrictions in the databases Pubmed, Elsevier, Google Scholar, Scielo, Biblioteca Virtual en Salud, Evidentia and finally the synthesis of Evidence was carried out by the Guide to Apparent Validity and Utility by Gálvez Toro. Furthermore, the AGRE II checklist was used to criticize the research that best answered the question; its response refers to the application of multiple recommendations with scientific evidence with a grade of recommendation A highly recommended for performing this procedure.
