Pulmonary tuberculosis is a highly transmissible disease that affects humans. Deficits in knowledge, attitudes and practices increase the spread of the disease. The Objective was to determine the knowledge, attitudes and practices about pulmonary tuberculosis in the adult population that attends the Toribia Castro Chirinos Health Center in the district of Lambayeque, 2023. Quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive cross-sectional research. The sample consisted of 259 adults who attend the health center, the inclusion criteria were adults of both sexes, from 30 to 59 years old who make consultations at the establishment and who reside in the various locations of the urban and marginal urban area of the jurisdiction of the health establishment, were patients and/or companions, who were able to answer the questionnaire, the sampling was simple random. Information was collected through a CAP questionnaire. Referred to as knowledge, attitudes and practices related to tuberculosis among the general public. For data tabulation, a database was created in Excel version 2019; For the analysis of the categorical variables, the distribution of frequencies and percentages were used; Likewise, the Belmont ethical criteria were applied. The results revealed that the majority of those interviewed have a medium and low level of knowledge about pulmonary tuberculosis. In terms of attitudes, they stated that they had mostly positive attitudes towards the disease; finally, 50% declared that they had poor practices regarding the disease. It is concluded that there is a significant gap in knowledge, attitudes and practices among those surveyed.
