Oral language development in early childhood is essential for cognitive, emotional and social growth, as it forms the basis for interaction, the exchange of ideas and the acquisition of fundamental communication skills. However, several current challenges, such as limited exposure to environments rich in verbal interactions, have affected these opportunities, especially in five-year-old children. In this context, the “CUENCAN” program was designed, based on dramatization, with the purpose of enhancing oral language in five-year-old children of an educational institution. This study, with a non-experimental method and purposeful descriptive design, used the PLON-R instrument to evaluate 30 students, selected through intentional sampling. The results revealed significant delays in language dimensions: 87% in form, 77% in content and 73% in use. Based on Vygotsky's sociocultural theory, activities were developed focused on the dramatization of stories and songs, highlighting their potential to enrich oral expression. This approach allows children to understand and acquire the meaning of words while developing skills to relate and communicate effectively in their environment. In conclusion, it is a priority to implement strategies such as the “CUENCAN” program, which uses dramatization as a key tool to overcome these difficulties, thus promoting comprehensive development and favoring the social interaction and communicative performance of infants.
