Reinforced earth units are a fundamental part of construction material for many people's homes, which is why the study of their physical/mechanical properties is essential to ensure the well-being of people. This research was carried out with soil from the city of Túcume since there are large mud monuments that demonstrate its resistance and durability, in addition to verifying whether the soil is good through in situ tests and laboratory tests. On the other hand, fiber was obtained from a drain with a drying period of 2 weeks to add them to the reinforced earth units, verifying their physical and chemical properties in a laboratory as well as the water used since it also influences the results. The purpose of this research is to know the influence generated by the addition of cattail fiber by making a comparison of a standard adobe compared to adobes adding 0.25%, 0.5%, 0.75%, 1.25% of cattail fiber by weight which were subjected to tests. laboratory and the percentage with a better influence were made walls and basins. Finally, it is concluded that the addition of 0.5% of cattail fiber is the one that has the best results compared to the other percentages, and the addition of cattail fiber helps to improve its resistance to bending and suction.
