At present, in Peru and the world, the great importance of the family social climate on the different areas of human life is evident, thus being essential in the development of adolescents and influential in their school motivation. This is how it was proposed to establish the relationship between the family social climate and school motivation in secondary education students of a Chiclayo public educational institution, 2022, likewise, specific objectives were proposed such as identifying the levels of family social climate and the levels of school motivation and identify the relationship between the dimensions of the family social climate and school motivation. The research corresponds to a non-experimental design and a correlational study, which included 210 students, who were evaluated using the Fes and Mees scale. The result obtained between the family social climate and school motivation was a low positive correlation coefficient (rs= 0.312) as well as a highly significant significance value (< .001). In conclusion, when an adolescent develops in an adequate family social climate, it will be reflected in her school performance and therefore her school motivation will be adequate.
