In the last two decades, a new form of bullying among adolescents has emerged, called cyberbullying, which is associated with a series of factors and areas in which the student develops, one of the most relevant being the family. Therefore, the main objective was to determine the relationship between parental styles and Cyberbullying in adolescents of an Educational Institution, Chiclayo 2023 and as specific objectives to identify parental styles, identify the roles of Cyberbullying, identify parental styles according to sex and grade and identify the roles of Cyberbullying according to sex and grade. The study had a quantitative approach, non-experimental-cross-sectional design and correlational scope. The Sternberger parenting styles questionnaire and the Ortega ECIP-Q Cyberbullying Scale were used. The participants were 145 students enrolled in the secondary level of a private educational institution in Chiclayo, of both sexes, whose ages range between 11 to 14 years, from 1st and 2nd year of secondary level. It was found that there is a significant relationship between cyberbullying and parenting styles (p=0.00), in addition, the most frequent parenting styles were the negligent and permissive style with 28% each, and the medium level predominates more frequently in the dimension of cybervictim and cyberaggressor. It is concluded that parenting styles are factors associated with cyberbullying; likewise, there are medium levels in both roles, as cyber victims and cyber aggressors.
