Enhancing Autonomous Learning in Early Childhood Education is Vital, as It Allows Children to Develop the Ability to Perform Daily Activities Independently, Make Their Own Decisions, and Foster Independence. The general objective of this research was to design didactic strategies to promote autonomous learning in five-year-old children at an educational institution in Chiclayo. The specific objectives were to identify the level of autonomous learning in five-year-old children in this institution and to determine the characteristics of didactic strategies to enhance autonomous learning for this age group. The study used a quantitative approach at a descriptive, propositional level. The assessment involved a sample of 40 participants from a five-year-old classroom, using an observation sheet to evaluate autonomous learning. This instrument comprised 14 items, yielding results where 70% of the children were at low levels of autonomy. Based on these findings, a set of didactic strategies was designed and validated through expert judgment. The strategies developed are age-appropriate, suit the children's developmental level, and enable students to take an active role in their learning, fostering autonomy and self-directed learning in their daily lives with responsibility. It is concluded that the proposed strategies are suitable for implementation with the children who participated in the study..
