Water is a vital liquid that nature gives us to satisfy our needs for food, health, hygiene, among many uses that can be given. But in cases such as the city of Chachapoyas, due to population growth, some areas that are usually peripheral extensions do not have drinking water or electricity service, so they seek means to obtain water to meet their needs, among such means we have the collection of rainwater, this being an exclusive option for cities with high frequency of rainfall as is Chachapoyas. Then as results of the study, the methodological proposal is shown to see a system that takes advantage of rainwater in Chachapoyas and possibly its implementation in places where the water resource is scarce, such proposal is the design of a system of ram pumps to collect rainwater, this equipment is designed for continuous operation and use only the kinetic energy of the fluid to supply water to a height above the captured. It uses a hydraulic phenomenon called water hammer, which converts the kinetic energy of fluids into pressure energy without consuming electricity or fossil fuels. Thus, it can work 24 hours a day and 365 days a year with zero operating costs.
