The current critical review, entitled "Nursing professional challenges in caring for patients with hemodialysis treatment", is a secondary research with Evidence-Based Nursing methodology; whose objective: To identify the challenges that nursing professionals face during the care of patients with hemodialysis treatment, allowing to ensure the continuity of nursing care. The clinical question with the PIS scheme was What are the challenges that nursing professionals face during the care of patients with hemodialysis treatment? The evidence search strategy was developed by accessing databases (BVS, Scielo, Google Scholar), selecting keywords and using a bibliographic collection form. The search collected 10 articles selected based on their age; leaving 2 scientific articles to which the Apparent Validity and Utility Guide of Gálvez Toro was applied. The reviewer's commentary followed the CASPE checklist and the question asked: challenges that nursing professionals face during the care of patients with hemodialysis treatment, had a level of evidence 3, with a grade of recommendation B. Establishing that job satisfaction is a great support that can be improved with training and regular support and containment sessions, there is no doubt that maintaining comfort and satisfaction in the work of the nursing professional will be reflected in the quality of care and will benefit patients.
