In this research, the objective was to propose the improvement of inventory management to increase the level of service in the La Prosperidad cooperative, Chirinos. Where it was established as a methodology, apply the ABC classification to know the varieties of coffee that have the most participation in terms of demand, as well as the application of the periodic review inventory model to increase the level of service caused by a non-existent management of inventories in the cooperative, as well as applying an improvement in the cooperative's logistics process that was not standardized. Obtaining as main results that, with the ABC classification according to the quantity demanded, selecting the varieties of Typic, Bourbon, Yellow Bourbon and Tekistic of classification A, where there was a low level of service of 84.44% unqualified personnel of 87, 5%, loss of sales opportunity of 13.47% and a stock out of 14.56%. The periodic review model was applied where an order quantity was obtained for grade A varieties, which is 1 642.41; 1 342.43; 437.74 and 204.82 for the Typic, Bourbon, Yellow Bourbon and Tekisic varieties respectively. This obtained an improvement in the indicators, which generated an increase in the service level to 93.87%, thanks to the training programs, 100% of the staff is qualified, a stock outage reduced to 6.13% and The loss of sales opportunity after the improvement is 7.09%, the project being viable given that the cost-benefit of the proposal is 1.06.
