In the district of Tumán there is no beneficial management of organic waste generated in homes, being discarded in the landfill without receiving a prior method that allows its reuse or use. The purpose of the research is to propose a compost plant using the Takakura method on the aforementioned waste, with the purpose of reducing environmental pollution. The current management of organic waste was described, identifying the phases of collection, treatment and elimination of only a percentage of waste, in the latter they dispose of 16, 107 tons of waste per day to the “Pavillas” field dump. The market study showed that the Lambayeque region has a growing demand for compost and the analysis carried out showed that the first year the product will cover 0,16% of the supply. On the other hand, it was determined that the number of compost bags for 2024 will be 79 010 bags in 50kg presentation and 96 616 bags in 2028. To carry out the plant design, the Guerchet method was selected and it was concluded that the The plant must have a total area of 1 435,23 m². Regarding the financial economic evaluation, a positive VAN of S/ 2 744 605,4 and an TIR of 64,43% were obtained.
