Deficiency anemia is the most serious nutritional problem in the world, with high frequency in infants, it is due to various factors, for which the Critical Review is proposed: Evidence of predisposing factors in the occurrence of iron deficiency anemia in infants, which led to the question: What is the evidence of factors that predispose the occurrence of iron deficiency anemia in infants? The reference scenario was the Pediatric service unit. The objective was to determine the factors that predispose the occurrence of iron deficiency anemia in infants. In this secondary study, the Evidence-Based Nursing methodology was used in 5 phases: the question was formulated using the PS scheme; Evidence was sought through metasearch engines such as: Pubmed, Lilacs, Scielo, Google academic; 364 articles and theses were found, 11 investigations were selected to establish validity and usefulness with Gálvez Toro, of which 3 articles were selected, and 1 article was chosen that passed the Astete list with a Level of Evidence III and a Grade of Recommendation B In response to the question posed, the factors were: micronutrient deficiency, iron deficiency in the diet, abandonment of breastfeeding, low birth weight, prematurity. The search for new evidence is recommended to document and make this a safe and controlled practice.
