In Regular Basic Education, most students show difficulties in developing their mathematical skills, especially in secondary education. In this situational framework, an investigation was carried out with the objective of proposing an educational program based on the GeoGebra digital tool to improve the resolution of shape, movement and location problems. The non-experimental descriptive purposeful design with a diagnostic test was used in a sample of 24 students of the VII cycle of Regular Basic Education, selected by non-probability sampling for convenience. As a result, it was obtained that 58.33% are at the beginning level and 41.67% are in process in the four dimensions: 1) models objects with geometric shapes, 2) communicates their understanding of geometric shapes, 3) uses strategies and procedures, and 4) argues assertions about geometric relationships. In conclusion, a pedagogical proposal was proposed based on the pedagogical tool that contributes to the achievement of the Solve problems of shape, movement and location competence in students of the VII cycle of Regular Basic Education.
