This non-experimental descriptive research takes the EI infrastructure as a case study. 11025 “Juan Pablo Vizcardo y Guzmán Zea” for the evaluation of the performance of its structures when they are affected by seismic forces through non-linear methods with the purpose of proposing their reinforcement or new design. As a first step, tests are carried out on the soil, and on the concrete to determine its current resistance to compression. Subsequently, the existing plans were analyzed and, together with a field evaluation, the dimensions of the structural elements and modifications to the original design were identified. The structure was analyzed by first applying the Peruvian Technical Standard E.030 to later compare them with the results obtained in static nonlinear analysis (Push Over) and dynamic nonlinear analysis (Time – History), considering the documents of FEMA. and ASCE 41-17. The results are presented that module 1 and module 2 comply with the Peruvian regulations regarding the results obtained by the Push-Over and Time History, while module 3 and 4 obtained a collapse prevention performance for a severe earthquake. , thus proposing a new design. It is concluded that older structures need new design intervention; in addition, the report provides scope for further research on the evaluation of existing structures through non-linear methods.
