Masculinity and femininity present behaviors and personality traits that people are expected to perform based on being a man or woman, and their characteristics have been associated with behaviors that could lead to an eating disorder. Therefore, the research aimed to determine the relationship between femininity and masculinity with risky eating behaviors in female students from a public educational institution in Chiclayo. It was carried out under a quantitative approach using a non-experimental correlational design. The population was made up of 135 female adolescents who were in the third and fourth grades of secondary school, with a census-type sample. The Masculinity and Femininity Inventory and the Eating Attitudes Scale (EAT - 26) were used to collect data. A positive relationship was found only between the submission dimension, of the femininity and masculinity variable, with the risky eating behavior variable. Regarding the variable masculinity and femininity, it was found that in its dimensions masculinity and machismo there was a greater frequency at the low level and in its dimensions femininity and submission there was a greater frequency at the medium level. Regarding the risky eating behavior variable, a greater frequency was found at the medium level and a lower frequency at the low level, and it was evident that in its oral control dimension there was a greater frequency at the high level, and in its diet dimension and bulimia dimension there was a greater frequency. frequency at the medium level.
