Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the importance of the distribution of public aid benefits from the government to companies in different sectors, in order to solve their liquidity problems, vulnerable companies being the priority. In the absence of a filter for an optimal classification, a type of companies called zombies were solved, since they live artificially by refinancing their debts in periods of crisis; Therefore, the objective of this research is to determine the relationship between zombie profits and depressed restructuring in companies listed on the Lima Stock Exchange during the period 2018-2022. A quantitative approach and a panel data econometric model were applied, in which information from the SMV, BCRP and BVL was used. Regarding the development of the study, the CHK and EIR indicators were used as the dependent variable, from which the best methodology had to be chosen to use as the dependent variable; The explanatory variables include strategic proactivity measured through the percentage of sales growth; market concentration with relative market share; entry barriers with the investment cost and the life cycle measured through ROA. As a result, it was determined that the best methodology to model zombie companies is CHK and the conclusion is that this type of companies is in a growth stage without reaching maturity.
