Bosque de Pómac Historic Sanctuary is located in the Lambayeque region and covers an area of 5887.36 hectares of equatorial dry forest. As is the case with most tropical forests, this sanctuary is facing a serious crisis due to deforestation and degradation of its landscape, affecting its biodiversity and local communities. The objective of the research is to revalue the territorial heritage through a landscape project to mitigate the degradation of the Bosque de Pomac Historic Sanctuary. To address this problem, we propose the adaptation to the Latin American context of the methodology of the Italian territorialist school, proposed by Alberto Magnaghi. The methodological adaptation has three specific objectives: first, the co-evolution between territory and human beings was identified along historical phases through the territorialization cycles; in the second phase, structural invariants are identified as a result of the superposition of the different layers of the patrimonial atlas; finally, the strategic scenario proposes a landscape project supported by the growth of the territorial heritage that will mitigate the environmental degradation of the Bosque de Pomac Historic Sanctuary.
