Introduction: Dyslipidemia, characterized by elevated blood lipid levels, poses a global health challenge with serious cardiovascular implications, with hypercholesterolemia being its most common form. Management involves lifestyle modifications and, for high-risk cases, pharmacological treatment with statins, which have been shown to significantly reduce cardiovascular events. However, gaps in knowledge and application of clinical guidelines have been identified in studies conducted in various countries, highlighting the need to improve the training of healthcare personnel in the proper use of statins. Objective: To determine the knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions regarding the appropriate management of dyslipidemia with statins among healthcare personnel at a tertiary care hospital in Lima, Peru, in 2024. Materials and Methods: A descriptive observational study will be conducted using a self-administered questionnaire among healthcare personnel at the National Hospital Cayetano Heredia. Conclusions: Dyslipidemia in Peru requires better training in its management and more research to optimize treatment.
