The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between Lifestyle and Sociocultural Factors in the older adults with Type II Diabetes Mellitus, in the oldcr adult Program, Hospital 11-E- Banda de Shilcayo. July-December 2020. Methodology: descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional, non-experimental. The sample consistcd of 145 oldcr adults, and thc Lifcstylc Scalc", dcvclopcd by Walkcr, Scchrist and Pender, in 1996, was used as an instrument. Results: In the food dimension, 59.3% (86) presented an unhealthy nutritional status. In the dimension of recreational physical activity, 57.2% (83) had unhealthy lifestyles. In the stress management dimension, 67 .6% (98) had unhealthy lifestyles. Regarding the dimension of interpersonal support, 69.7% (101) show unhealthy lifestyles. Likewise, 63.4% (92) show unbealthy lifestyles in the dimension of self-actualization. Finally, in the dimension of responsibility and hcalth, 75.2% (109) had unhcalthy lifcstylcs. Likcwisc, in thc Biological Factor, 62.8% (91) are between 60 and 70 years old, 76.6% (111) are male. Regarding the Cultural Factor, 29.0% (42) havc complctcd sccondary school, 80.0% (116) profcss thc Catholic religion. In the Social Factor, in the marital status, 67.5% (27) are separated, 47.6% (69) have an economic income of 500 to 1,000 soles. In conclusion, the chi-square statistical test showed that there is a significan! relationship (p=O.O 1) between lifestyles and sociocultural factors of older adults with Typc II Diabetes Mellitus, Older Adult Program. Hospital 11-E- Banda de Shilcayo. July-December 2020, contrasting with the hypothcsis formulated.
