The following investigation work tries to determine an optimum dose of the effective microorganisms (EM) for compost from the shell of "Theobroma Cacao L", it was worked in the district of Naranjos - Pardo Miguel, four doses of EM in the treatments: 0% T0, 5% T1, 15% T2 and 20% T3, arranged in a completely randomized experimental design with four repetitions, using 25 kg of cocoa husk per experimental unit. The variables evaluated were: Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Carbon / Nitrogen Ratio, pH, Temperature and others. In the final result of the Nitrogen within the treatments they vary between 1.35% to 1.49%, being the T1 with greater concentration. Potassium in T3 presents a higher concentration with 2.25% and the lowest of 1.9% T0. For phosphorus, T3 and T1 are similar and of greater concentration. The results were subjected to an analysis of variance. Significance was obtained in several ANOVA tables, indicating that the dose of effective microorganisms influences the composting process by determining a dose for the compost from the cocoa husk. Treatment 3 (dose of EM at 20%) according to the Duncan comparison test, was the most optimal because it presented the highest numerical value in the variables evaluated. In these, Treatments 2 and 1, demonstrated numerical and statistical superiority compared to the control treatment (T0).
