The objective of this research was to determine the impact of planning on the economical infrastructure of the province of San Martin, period 2020-2022. The methodology used is based on the selection of a sample by convenience and is constituted by the documentation collection about planning and economical infrastructure of the Provincial Municipality of San Martin, so it is coincident with the population. The research is applied at the descriptive level and its design is non-experimental through the use of analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive methods. In addition, data collection techniques and instruments were used through documentary observation, data entry and documentary analysis; data processing and analysis were carried out in order to contrast the proposed hypothesis. The results of the research, as well as the discussion under the territorial potentialities approach, showed that it has a significant impact on the economical infrastructure of the province of San Martin, contrasted with the association test of two nominal qualitative variables and by the processed information, which allowed proposing the planning for the period 2020-2022.
