The aim of the research was: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude towards menopause in 40-50 year-old women who come to the outpatient clinics of the Hospital Amazónico - Yarinacocha - Pucallpa, July - December 2019, it is a quantitative, descriptive, correlational study. The population consisted of 1120 women and the sample was made up of 123 users who attend the clinics, the technique used was the survey and the questionnaire as instrument for the variables (level of knowledge and attitude towards menopause). Results, the demographic characteristics of the women of 40 - 50 years old were that age fluctuates between 40 to 45 years with 58.5%, marital status was partners with 64.2%, secondary education degree with 70.7%. The level of knowledge about menopause was medium with 69.1% in women of 40 - 50 years of age who come to the outpatient clinics of the Hospital Amazónico. The attitude towards menopause was favorable with 97.6%. Of the population studied, 68.3% has a favorable attitude towards menopause and is in the medium level of knowledge with 16.3%. There is a significant relationship between both variables measured through the non-parametric chi2 test because they are both nominal variables (level of knowledge and attitude towards menopause), obtaining an X2 = 6,758 and a p-value = 0.034 y being the value of significance < 0.05.
