The objective of this research study was to "Determine the relationship between lifestyles with the nutritional status of adults treated at Hospital II-2 Tarapoto, February - June 2018.", non-experimental, quantitative, descriptive research, correlational, cross-sectional. The population and sample consisted of 139 adults, and the survey and interview were used as a technique, as well as the lifestyle scale and the nutritional assessment card for adults. The results: of 100% of the study population, 50.4% oscillate between the ages of 36 to 59 years, 63.3% are female, 48.2% have secondary education, 67.6% independent occupation and 45.3% live together. Regarding the lifestyles of the adult (a), 79.9% present a healthy lifestyle. Regarding its dimensions, 92.1% have healthy lifestyles in self-realization, 87.1% in the diet and 84.2% in the management of stress and social responsibility in 77%. The nutritional status of the study population was normal at 49.6% followed by overweight with 42.4%. The dimensions with the greatest relationship with nutritional status are stress management with one (p = 0.046) and feeding with one (p = 0.049) with a level of significance of 95%. In conclusion there is no relationship between lifestyles with the nutritional status of the adult (a) when applying the non-parametric chi square test with a level of significance at 95% (p <0.05), (p = 0.222).
