The present research work had the following objective: To determine the level of stress during the COVID 19 pandemic in students of the Professional School of Nursing, National University of San Martin, Tarapoto. Period May-October 2021. Non-experimental study of quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional approach, the sample was made up of 224 students of the Professional School of Nursing of the UNSM-T, a questionnaire was applied as an instrument. The obtained results shown that within the sociodemographic characteristics the majority of the students are between the ages of 17 to 19 years old 72.8% (163), 83.5% (187). are female, 79.0% (177) of the participants have a medium level, 12.1% (27) have a high level and 8.9% (12) of the participants have a low level of distress. The 74.6% (167) of the participants have a medium level of coping capacity on stress, 21.4% (48) present a low level and 4.0% (9) of the participants have a high level of coping capacity on stress. Concluding that 79.0% (177) of the participants present a medium level of stress, 18.3% (41) present a low level and only 2.7% (6) of the participants present a high level of stress.
