This research entitled "Organizational Commitment and its relationship with Labor Productivity in the Provincial Municipality of San Martín, Tarapoto in 2016", had as its main objective to determine the relationship between the variables organizational commitment and labor productivity, as it was an investigation of applied type of correlational level, being this one of non-experimental design, for which a population and sample of 164 collaborators was taken, who were surveyed through a questionnaire of questions, with a series of items directly related to the indicators of each variable , extracting as a result that the organizational commitment of the workers in the Provincial Municipality of San Martin, is low, because it was perceived flaws in the affective component (under 57%, medium 35%, high 8%), in the same way it was observed in the continuity component (under 55%, average 36%, high 9%), meanwhile the normative component has Same problem (under 56%; 36% average; high 7%), because they are not respected, nor obligations are fulfilled. Likewise, it was determined that the level of labor productivity is low, since a series of shortcomings were perceived in the technical dimension (under 55%, average 37%, high 9%), likewise the economic dimension (under 59%; 36%, high 5%), finally, the same problem was perceived in the social dimension (low 55%, medium 37%, high 8%). Finally concluding that there is a significant relationship between organizational commitment and labor productivity in the MPSM, Tarapoto in 2016; corroborated with Spearman's Rho correlation of 0.793.
