The present research work had the objective of determining the notion and application of the ethics and deontology code in the nursing graduates of the Santa Gema. Hospital - Yurimaguas. Period July-December 2020. Methodology: non-experimental, quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional approach, the sample consisted of 50 nursing graduates from the Santa Gema Hospital in Yurimaguas, the interview technique was used and a questionnaire with a Lickert scale was used as an instrument. Results: 48.0% (24) of the nursing graduates present a good notion of the Ethics and Professional Deontology Code, followed by 40.0% (20) with a regular notion and finally 12.0% (6) with a bad notion of the ethics and deontology code. In addition, 52.0% (26) of the Nursing Graduates according to the dimension "The nurse and the professional practice", have a regular notion of the Ethics and Professional Deontology Code, followed by 34.0% (17) have a regular notion and finally 14.0% (7) have a bad notion of the Ethics and Professional Deontology Code. According to the dimension: "The nurse and human relations", 56.0% (28) of the Graduates in Nursing have a regular notion of the Ethics and Professional Deontology Code, followed by 32.0% (16) who have a regular notion and finally 12.0% (6) have a bad notion of the Ethics and Professional Deontology Code; similarly, 64.0% (32) of the Nursing Graduates working at the Santa Gema Hospital show inadequate application of the Ethics and Professional Deontology Code, followed by 36.0% (18) who do present adequate application of the Ethics and Professional Deontology Code. According to the Chi-square test, a significant relationship was demonstrated between both variables studied: notion and application of the Ethics and Professional Deontology Code (P = 0.037), thus contrasting the hypothesis formulated.
