This following thesis corresponds to a simulation analysis of vehicular flows caused by an accumulation of vehicles at the intersection of the Alfonso Ugarte and Orellana streets. At the intersection to study is to reduce the conflict created by the increase of vehicular flow at this point, this causes long delay times that generates and hinders a circulation by discord in its output directions, so to improve this flow vehicular is suitable to give solution with directional traffic lights where the driver is educated and has limits in their direction of circulation, so that accidents are not generated and there is a more orderly flow. It began with vehicular traffic at the intersection for the analysis of the data taken at the intersection of the study, proceeding then with the evaluation of the maximum vehicular flows obtained at the study point, in such a way to proceed to enter the data in the program SYNCHRO, after the results obtained and the limits shown, we proceed to a deeper analysis with the micro-simulation program called PTV VISSIM, where after the limits already provided for the analysis of the results generated by the SYNCHRO, the data is taken with a reference of the previous analysis ranges and its realistic analysis is carried out where the decision of the solution will be made, where it will show us the cycle of the least delay in the intersection of the study. This thesis establishes the solution in a conflictive intersection giving priority to senses and cycle times according to its current state without interfering in its geometric design.
