The objective of the study was "To determine the relationship between the uterine inhibitor treatment and its effects on the threat of preterm delivery in pregnant women attended at the Santa Gema de Yurimaguas Hospital, March - August 2017", a non-experimental, qualitative, descriptive study. Correlational, cross-sectional, the population was 120 medical records of women with threatened preterm delivery. The technique was the documentary review and as an instrument data collection card. The results, between general characteristics of pregnant women with pre-term delivery threat highlights the age between 20-34 years, average age 23,87 years, standard deviation of 7,112; The minimum age was 12 years and the maximum age was 46 years. The gestational age according to FUR was less than 37 weeks discretely discordant figure by ultrasound. Among the causes of threatened preterm delivery are urinary tract infection and premature rupture of membranes. The threat rate of preterm delivery was 16%. The received inhibitory uterine treatment was sublingual nifedipine in 64.4%; Intravenous magnesium sulfate in 24.5% and both treatments received 11.0%. The effects of the uterine inhibitor treatment were: satisfactory response in 54.2% between 24 and 48 hours. In conclusion: there is a positive response of the uterus to the treatment and the use of tocolytics does not generate negative effects in the pregnant woman
