Given that the rate of family violence is a fact of serious consequences that is not measuring any type of condition, even though protection measures are dictated, they comply with overprotecting and safeguarding the actions towards the victims and preventing the unfortunate consequences in the future. The general objective is to determine the relationship between family violence and the gender perspective of protection measures at the Second Specialized Family Court in 2020. This research was carried out in the district of Tarapoto, in the legal unit of the Judicial Power, it is an applied research, with a correlational level of non-experimental design; the population and sample consisted of 59 resolutions in which protection measures were issued by the Second Specialized Family Court of Tarapoto. In addition, this has been complemented with the support of 25 lawyers to reinforce the objectives, the instruments used were the collation guide and the survey guide. The results show that the rate of violence shows a high figure, with the predominant aggression being against the female sex, without ignoring the minimal percentage of violence that usually occurs against the male sex, with the final cases in which some type of violence was used against the victims. The analysis of the types of family violence that lead to the issuance of protection measures shows that 86.44% of the cases processed in the Second Specialized Family Court involve psychological violence, and therefore, the victim suffers a great affectation from the cognitive aspect, which can generate a situation of manipulation and dependence towards the aggressor.
