The conducted research is based on a problem related to the questionable public management of the municipality of the district, resulting in citizen discontent and dissatisfaction. In this sense, the main objective was proposed to determine the relationship between social responsibility and corporate reputation according to the beneficiaries of the projects implemented by the District Municipality of Shamboyacu during the period 2018 - 2021. This district is located in the province of Picota, in the department of San Martín, and the evaluation period covered the years 2018 to 2021. The study was quantitative, applied, correlational and with a non-experimental design with longitudinal cut. On the other hand, as instruments, two self-made questionnaires were administered to the 368 selected beneficiaries. For statistical treatment, descriptive measures (frequencies and percentages) were used, as well as normal distribution (K-S) and correlational measures (Spearman's rho). The results indicated, firstly, that social responsibility obtained an average level with 55% and corporate reputation a fair level with 43% agreement among the respondents, respectively. Likewise, it was found that social responsibility was directly and significantly associated with corporate reputation (Spearman's rho=.736, p=.000); as well as with the dimensions of corporate reputation: emotional appeal (Spearman's rho=.725, p=.000), services (Spearman's rho=.737, p=.000), vision and leadership (Spearman's rho=.722, p=.000) and work environment (Spearman's rho=.727, p=.000). In conclusion, the research hypothesis was validated since social responsibility was directly and significantly associated with corporate reputation.
