The following investigation called as "BEARING CAPACITY ZONING OF THE SOILS OF THE LOCALITY OF SHAMBOYACU PROVINCE OF PICOTA SAN MARTÍN REGION", has as objective to determine the carrying capacity that allows to elaborate a zoning map of bearing capacity of soils of the locality of Shamboyacu. The research methodology used was descriptive, which sought to specify and analyze the geological and geotechnical characteristics of the soil. The laboratory tests of moisture content, consistency limits (atterberg), granulometric analysis, field density, direct cutting and soil classification have been developed, taking into account the established norms in force, also these tests have allowed to determine the physical properties and mechanics of the foundation soil, as well as the type of soil and its characteristics. The soils were classified by the SUCS method, which indicates the presence of soils of coarse and fine granulometry, the soils of fine granulometry of the clayey type CL, and soils of coarse granulometry of the type GP and GM, with a low percentage of humidity on average, a geotechnical zone named Zone I has been determined, which is delimited by C-01, C-02, C-03, C-04, C-05, C-06, C-07, C-08 , C-09, C-10, C-11, C-12, C-13, C-14, C-16, C-17, C-18, C-19, C-20, C-21, C -22, C-23, C-24, C-25, C-26, C-27 and C-28, the allowable capacity in Zone I with a foundation depth of -1.50 meters and a foundation width of 1.00 meter is between 0.90 to 0.97 Kg / cm2 with an average allowable capacity of 0.93 kg / cm2 or 9.3 tn / m2.
