The study aimed to determine the association between professional performance and the quality of prenatal care in the pregnant women of Hospital II-1 MINSA Moyobamba from January to March 2016. The type of research was quantitative, descriptive - prospective, cross - sectional, with a Correlational design. The sample consisted of 258 pregnant women who were attended at the Hospital II-1 MINSA Moyobamba.. the technique, and The interviews process lasted from 20 to 30 minutes was used and as a tool a structured questionnaire that helped us to measure the quality of care received by the client assisted in the prenatal care office. The results found were: the level of professional performance developed during prenatal care in the MINSA II - 1 Moyobamba Hospital is 41.7% and 4.2% respectively. The professional performance indicators that stand out in the cognitive dimension are: resolution of problems in new or poorly understood environments (58.3%), ability to understand the theoretical bases of the different pathologies of the pregnant woman (54.2%) . In the attitude and social dimension: sometimes applies the ethical principles of the profession (75.0%); Is correctly expressed in oral and written language domain (70.8%); Has the capacity to work as a team (66.7%) . And in the technical capacity dimension, it is predominant that the professional always and almost always knows and handles obstetric evaluation adequately (75.0%); Sometimes applies measures of asepsis and biosafety in every procedure performed (54.2% respectively), The Quality Indicators in the scientific technical dimension that stand out are: thorough and thorough examination (73.6%), adequate provision of medicines (68.2%) and absolution of doubts regarding the health problem (63.2%). In the human dimension, professionals are interested in hearing their problem (62.0%), respect for their privacy (61.6%) and friendly treatment, trust in medical care (61.2% respectively). In the environment dimension, satisfaction with cleanliness and comfort in the waiting room (69.8%), hygienic services (68.2%) and adequate signage (65.1%). It is concluded that there is a highly significant association between the Professional Performance and the Prenatal Care Quality of the pregnant women attended at the MINSA II-I Moyobamba Hospital (X2 = 28,410; p = 0.0000).
