In order to evaluate the behavior, to determine the desirable agronomic characteristics of six soybean cultivars (Glvcine max L. Merril) under agroecological conditions of the Pucayacu Caserío la Union sector, located 8 km from the city of Tarapoto towards the south marginal road On the left bank, road to the farmhouse Union (5 km.). District Band of Shilcayo Province and Region of San Martin. Four Soya lines plus two varieties adapted to the area were compared as controls. The planting took place on July 12, 1993 and was harvested on November 22, 1993. We used the Randomized Complete Block Design (CBCR) with 04 replicates and 06 treatments: Crystalline, Jupiter (T), LM-22, PR-21-5-1-X-5, PR-21-43-1- 2 and INIAP-303 (T) respectively. The distancing to the sowing was of 0.6 m. Between rows and 0.2 m. Between plants with 04 seeds per blow. The yields obtained for the Jupiter and INIAP-303 controls were 2,260 kg / Ha. And 1,840 kg / Ha. Respectively and the varieties that stood out were Cristalina with 2,460 kg / Ha. And PR-21-5-1-x-5 with 2,240 kg / Ha. Resulting all cultivars resistant to drought. Also the cultivar witness Jupiter presented the best agronomic characteristics followed of the crystalline cultivar.
