Pavement failure is a constant problem, encountered over the years due to high transitability and deterioration of the road due to lack of adequate maintenance. A method of assessing pavement behavior is the Standard Procedure for Inspection of Pavement and Road Pavement Condition Index, reflected in ASTM D6433 or otherwise called Pavement Index, which by means of visual inspection. One can damage and/or faults they contain, both in quantity and severity. The present project alms to determine the condition of the flexible pavement, using the PCI (Pavement Condition Index) method in Jorge Cáhvez Street between blocks 1 to 16. In the fisrt place, a field work was carried out, in which data were collected from all the faults in the study path, finding different types of faults and their respective levels of condition varying between mild, moderate and severe. Distinguishing the according to depth, area, length, etc, then the work in cabinet was carried out for the corresponding calculation, having to group the faults in areas as sample units in a total length of 1 924m an evaluation area of 8 794,60 m2. It was decided to use 36 sample units where they could distinguish the highest failure rate, obtaining result between very bad, bad, regular, good and very good.
