The present study entitled "Factors predisposing to pre-eclampsia and its relation to maternal fetal complications in pregnant women attended at Hospital EsSalud Tarapoto, January-May 2016", a quantitative, descriptive, correlational study whose population and sample was 116 cases , The document review was used as technique and the data collection form was used as instrument. The results were: greater proportion of women with pre-eclampsia are 66.4% of the population living in urban areas and 69.8% of those living in urban areas. Among the predisposing factors "related to the couple", the nulliparous 76.7% and the andria of 1 to 3 couples 98.3%; "Non-couple-related" pre-eclampsia prior 46.6%, intergenic period> 3 years 80.2% and 65.5% family history of pre-eclampsia; "Presence of previous diseases" hypertension 62.1%; "Environmental" poor not extreme 60.3% and primary education 76.7%; "Related to pregnancy" ITU 95.7%. The maternal complications identified are: eclampsia 16.4%, HELL Syndrome 19.8%, renal failure 33.6% and PPD 25.9%. Fetal complications are: IUGR 27.6%, preterm delivery 51.7%, RPM 57.8%. In conclusion: There is a significant relationship p <0.05 between predisposing factors and maternal fetal complications.
