The present work is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach whose informants are patients with Chronic Kidney Disease undergoing Peritoneal Dialysis, having as objective: to comprehensively analyze the experiences of patients with Chronic Kidney Disease undergoing Peritoneal Dialysis in the Province of San Martín, August - December 2020. The sample was represented by 05 patients, who met the requirements for data collection by conducting the interview with the following guiding question: Tell me how do you live and what is your day-to-day life like, considering your disease (CKD) and the Peritoneal Dialysis treatment you have to undergo every day? It is considered that the interview with the guiding question allowed the expression of the patients, revealing aspects and nuances about their lived experience when undergoing peritoneal dialysis treatment, based on the description, reduction and phenomenological understanding, the following convergences were obtained: Inadequate treatment despite knowing about type 2 diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension and other diseases that cause chronic renal failure. Health status at the time of diagnosis of the disease, symptomatology and emotional state. Attitude towards the management of CKD, alternative search and ways of coping. Peritoneal dialysis treatment initiation, complications and learning. Unconditional support and family support for the CKD patient during PD treatment, where they were interpreted for better understanding. The findings reveal that these patients face an uncertain future, but eventually achieve authenticity by taking control of their lives and integrating the disease as part of it.
