Cervical cancer (CaCu) is considered a serious pathology that harms women around the world. It originates in the cervix and is closely linked to Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infestation. In 2021, the WHO establishes that CaCu is the fourth cause of mortality due to carcinoma in women worldwide, with approximately 570,000 new cases diagnosed each year. The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and practice in preventive measures for cervical cancer in sex workers, Hospital II-1 Moyobamba 2023. The study was located in the district and province of Moyobamba, Department of San Martín. Data collection was carried out between the months of November and December 2023. A basic research was presented, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive correlational design, whose population and sample were 70 sex workers treated at the hospital. The technique was the survey and the questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument. Results, the level of knowledge about the prevention of cervical cancer in sex workers was “medium” with 85.7%, followed by “high” 14.3%. The level of preventive practice assumed by sex workers to prevent cervical cancer was “high” 58.6%, followed by “medium” 41.4%. There is a relationship between the dimensions of knowledge and the practices of preventive measures where the non-parametric Rho Spearman test was applied, identifying that the dimension definition of CaCu (Rho = 0.172; p=0.155) and early detection (Rho = 0.221; p= 0.067) are not related to the practice of preventive measures on cervical cancer. While, only the HPV vaccination dimension has a “moderate” positive and significant relationship with this variable (Rho = 0.400; p=0.001). It is concluded that, 6.1. There is a moderate and significant positive relationship between the knowledge and practices of cervical cancer preventive measures adopted by sex workers (Rho = 0.408; p=0.000), therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected and the null hypothesis is accepted. investigation.
